In the midst of holiday/winter wreath making! Almost all of the natural material I use is grown from seed or foraged in the Hudson Valley within 5 miles of my home in Accord, NY. Exceptions include material gathered during occasional trips to Long Island, Vermont and further upstate NY to visit beloved family and friends. I search roadsides and backyards for wild grasses and seedheads, in both wild areas and cultivated landscapes. I’m drawn to these elements for the texture and diversity that enhance the visual interest of the wreath.
